A little about me…

I believe that laughter is the best medicine…that being passionate about your work is the only way to rise to the top of your field…that a fine wine and a prime cut of beef is always the best choice on a menu…that life isn’t about finding yourself it’s about creating yourself…that in any moment of decision the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing…and that if forced to sing karaoke “Fever” is always the best choice. With that said, I am very fortunate to be surrounded by amazing family and friends. I value both time spent with them and time alone. I am driven in life by doing my best to be a better person today than I was yesterday and to help others when I can.

My passion and career:
I am a lifestyle and entertaining expert with a simple mission: to empower people to connect and build relationships through the environment that they create and in the way they acknowledge and incorporate others in to their lives. Simple and tailored or modern and chic all reflect my intensely observant, sensual eye, which is carefully tuned to even the most subtle contributions to a concept.

With an education in social services, my desire to combine my passion for design with my social service background led me to found my event design and production company Red-Letter Day. My business is based in Seattle and I work in major markets including Los Angeles, New York, London, and Paris.

I am the Entertaining Editor for Northwest Home and Garden Magazine (www.nwhomeandgarden.com), and Seattle Magazine (www.seattlemag.com) writing, styling, and featured in each issue. I also appear regularly on King 5 News on Kong contributing design, style and entertaining segments (www.king5.com).

My first book, “Cube Chic,” focuses on transforming the office cubicle and it has been featured in the NY Post, Boston Herald, Fortune Magazine, along with many other newspapers and magazines. I also appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres show and the Today Show discussing the importance of the personalization of work space. I am currently working on my second book, so stay tuned to this blog for more details!

I launched my own show in Seattle, Moore to Life with Kelley Moore sponosored by IKEA, in December of 2006 on Seattle’s NBC affiliate King 5. I completed a broadcast project for Lexus that aired on OLN and TiVo, helping them to launch the 400H. In 2006, I also partnered with Office Max to launch their Back to School campaign focusing on the personalization of school lockers.

I have recently completed pilots for the Style Network, and A & E, along with appearing frequently on National talk shows such as the Tyra Banks Show and the Today Show. Speaking engagements around the country also allow me to partner with retailers and inspire people to define and reinvent their style.

Currently I am working towards finding the perfect broadcast partner to launch my brand on a National level, along with partnering with like minded retailers, to create a multimedia company focused on inspring people to use their signature style to entertain and create environments that are unique and help them to create a connection with others.
